Two Years Summed Up in Two Hundred Words

A junior asked me to write something about my experience during the two years at MDI. Now a senior has asked me to sya what I had written. So out comes the following text from my email archives:

---------------------------------
The two years spent at MDI have proven to be my best investment till date. Not only did I meet varied and interesting people in the form of my batch mates, but I also had a chance to interact with and listen to the views of distinguished industry stalwarts, meeting whom otherwise would have been practically impossible.

MDI taught me the business lingo in the form of corporate jargon, but more importantly, made me understand the meaning behind it all. To top it up, participating in the student run activities gave a first hand experience of applying the learnings in real life by managing people and resources.

The biggest learning from my stay at MDI is that business is not about numbers, tools and processes. It is about people. Get the right people on board and the rest falls in place.

The only regret, now that the stint is over, would be that I wasn't able to fully utilise the huge resource pool in the form of world renowned faculty and a huge library.

To sum it up all, I can only say that I am now a ManDevIan for life, and proud to be so!

Cheers
